BALL Watch Company and Oracle Time - the leading UK-based Luxury Watch Magazine, News Platform and Collector Community - are proud to unveil their first collaborative timepiece. Imagined and designed together by BALL and Oracle Time, the Engineer II Dazzle pays tribute to Dazzle Camo, the striking and abstract patterns used by the British Navy during WWI to confuse rather than conceal. This limited-edition timepiece turns a century-old military strategy into a statement of design and creativity.
HISTORIC CAMOUFLAGE REIMAGINED.
Dazzle camouflage holds a unique place in World War I naval history. Using patterns inspired from wildlife, British marine painter Norman Wilkinson had a disruptive twist: instead of hiding ships, confuse the viewer. With the right abstract shapes and lines in the right places, dazzle camo pattern distorted a ship’s shape, speed, and heading. The Cubist early-20th-century avant-garde art movement inspired as well the abstract patterns in dazzle camouflage.
The selected pattern for the watch’s dial takes inspiration from the same principles and reimagines them in a modern context. The sharp and fragmented pattern of triangles has been embossed onto the dial to enhance the contrast between shapes, using white, grey, and black colors - a nod to the original dazzle camo concept. To add a bit of colour, the hands are tipped in an icy sky blue - fitting for a nautically-themed timepiece.
A DARKNESS-CONQUERING TIMEPIECE.
Unlike any other form of luminescence used in watchmaking, 15 tritium micro gas tubes adorn each hour marker and all three hands. Completely self-powered, the micro gas lights glow in ice blue color across the hands and the 12 o’clock hour marker - matching the blue tips of the hands - and in clean, nautical white across the other hour indexes. The incomparable luminosity shines automatically from the first sign of darkness to the last, ensuring easy time-reading in all low-light conditions.

Built to exceed traditional Swiss watchmaking standards, your BALL watch is warranted by BALL Watch Company SA for a period of forty-eight months because you benefit from a "Premium" warranty card from the date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. You are cordially invited to register your timepiece on the BALL site www.ballwatch.com within 90 days of purchase for a free extended twelve months warranty. This will effectively cover your BALL watch for a total of sixty months warranty period. The international warranty covers material and manufacturing defects existing at the time of delivery of the purchased watch. The warranty will only be valid when the warranty card is dated, fully and correctly completed and stamped by Tachymeters - Authorized Dealer of BALL Watch Company SA.
During the warranty period and by presenting the valid warranty card, you will be entitled to free of charge servicing of any repair carried out for the above manufacturing defects. In the event that repairs are unable to restore the normal conditions, BALL Watch Company SA guarantees its replacement by a BALL watch of identical or similar characteristics. The warranty for the replacement watch ends twenty-four months after the date of replacement of the replaced watch.
The international warranty does not extend to the bracelet, strap, buckle or crystal, normal wear, tear and ageing, nor does it cover any damage on any part of the watch resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, negligence, incorrect use of the watch and non-observance of the operating instructions provided by BALL Watch Company SA.
We reserve the right to relinquish all responsibilities under this guarantee for repair if the watch has been handled by unauthorized persons or if it has been altered in its original condition beyond BALL Watch Company SA’s control. Shipping the watch to one of our authorized service centers will be at the expense of the customer.
